The Anomaly Group was launched in UK schools in 2007. The group began by encouraging children across the UK to think more carefully about their physical and mental health through screen-based interactive media. We focus our attention on tackling issues that schools, local authorities and national governments struggle to improve.
ActivAll, are fantastic hi-impact reaction walls from Anomaly. Manufactured and distributed from the United Kingdom, they were originally designed by a motivational fitness engineer. The ActivAll range is acknowledged as a unique inclusive fitness tool, giving everyone access to exercise regardless of ability, age or fitness. It has achieved the Inclusive Fitness Initiative accreditation for addressing inequality in physical activity.
The lack of activity in young people is a global issue with the UK recently being identified as having one of the highest levels of child obesity in the world. Lack of activity has a direct impact on the levels of Asthma in young people with the UK having the second highest percentage of young Asthma suffers in Europe. ActivAll has a profound impact on the development and increase of activity in young and old people because of its fun, inclusive and interactive machines that can be located both inside and out.
ActivAll is an inclusive fitness and IFI acredited product for 2018/2020.
We use our ActivAll every day. The pupils set their own challenges independently and keep score. We also use the ActivAll to practice spellings and times tables in a fun way.
ActivAll helps (a pupil with challenging behaviour) burn of some energy in a more structured way as a sensory break in between adult led activities
We feel that the ActivAll is a general and fantastic addition to PE and school sport at the moment. We offer the ActivAll to children with special education needs also which helps the classroom to be a bit calmer.
